Rising house prices are one of the simplest indicators of an area’s increasing popularity.
According to the most recent data by Rightmove, a number of towns and villages across Kent have seen big fluctuations in average property prices in recent years.
The new figures show how much Kent homes were worth in March 2017 compared with 2020.
During this time, average house prices have increased by as much as 18.2 per cent in certain areas.

Tenth on the list is the popular town of Broadstairs in Thanet.
With a rise in average property prices of £39,061 over the last three years, it’s on the list of the county’s most up and coming towns.

9. Herne Bay – 13.3%
The average house value in Herne Bay has increased by £34,013.
That’s a 13.3% rise over the last three years.

8. Ramsgate – 14.2%
The Thanet town has seen prices rise £34,830 during a three-year period.
A 14.2% increase from 2017 to 2020.

7. Birchington – 14.5%
The average house value in Birchington has increased by £28,816 since 2017.
With a new average property costing £348,332 this is one of the pricier areas on our list.
