Bring catwalk style to your home with the new Matthew Williamson furniture collection.
The designer has turned his attention to furniture with a capsule print collection ‘Kaleidoscope’ featuring four new and exclusive hand-painted silk textile designs for British furniture brand, ROOME LONDON. The collaboration will see Williamson’s prints on furniture shapes such as cabinets, screens, and sideboards for the first time.
The six-piece collection includes a bespoke drinks cabinet, statement chest of drawers, side tables, and a decorative screen that displays four exclusive prints, which have been created for the collection by the designer from original paintings translated onto luxurious fabric.
Williamson’s inspiration for the print designs was derived from his travels, the rugged nature that surrounds his home in Cala Deia, Mallorca and his textile archive, which has been amassed over his successful 20-year design career.

‘I wanted to work with a new medium to use within my interior design work, so this collaboration with ROOME LONDON was a dream project for me. I love ROOME’s pared back, elegant and practical shapes as they provide the perfect backdrop to showcase my printed designs.
I’d like to think there’s something for everyone in this exclusive collection. The pieces will appeal to lovers of colour, pattern and art, looking to create a unique space with high impact and original designs. People looking for well-designed statement pieces to add to their space,’ says Matthew Williamson.
Queenie and Pru Dressing Screens
A stunning focal point and a sophisticated way to divide spaces, the screens feature adjustable crescent-shaped side panels and is beautifully upholstered in luxurious silk-blend satin and accented with a brushed brass frame.
‘I wanted the collection to have a broad range of prints within it – with a theme for each piece that suited and complemented its function,’ continues Williamson.
‘I also had to bear in mind the versatility required for each design as I wanted to make prints that would work well in any interior scheme be it maximalist or minimalist. Either way my aim was to create unique prints that would really stand out.’
